When the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) celebrates 25 years of existence, it will be held again in Europe and the chosen place is Praia da Rocha, in Portimão.

EDC takes place every year in Las Vegas in the United States but has been expanding its presence to other parts of the world, such as China, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Japan.

The choice of Portimão by Insomniac, festival’s promoting company, was made because they considered that “Portugal is the ideal destination for the production of summer festivals and, Portimão, for its natural conditions and the support of its

municipality and all the rest authorities, is the place of choice” to have an unforgettable weekend in Praia da Rocha with the main names in dance music.

The event, which takes place between 18 and 20 June, has the support of the Câmara de Portimão and joins the festivals already scheduled for Praia da Rocha: Afro Nation (between 01 and 03 July with a poster that brings together dozens of names like Chris Brown, Skepta and Wizkid) and Rolling Loud (on July 9th and 10th, with Cardi B, Stormzy, among many others).

The organizers point out that Portimão and Praia da Rocha have all the conditions for holding large events because in addition to all the natural and geographical conditions, it also has a good offer in terms of accommodation and is close to Faro Airport.
